AVI has numerous programs and initiatives that can use your support. AVI officials will meet with you to discuss programming structure and plans and the most efficient use for your donation. To gather information about specific initiatives, please contact us here. AVI does accept in-kind donations as well, including equipment, office materials, supplies, etc. We do not typically accept artifacts, but if you have a military or veteran-related artifact, we have relationships with several facilities that might accept the donation. Feel free to contact us about any gift.

We are an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) charity and, as such, all donations to AVI are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

As a non-profit organization, American Veteran's Institute (AVI) supports its many endeavors through donations, fund raising events and the sales of products that support the promotion and recognition of Veterans.

AVI has assembled the start of a library of books and other printed materials that we find helpful to Veterans, their families and those who simply want to learn more about our country and the role Veterans played in the world yesterday and today.

If you would like to submit a product for consideration to be used to raise money for AVI, please contact us.

Naked In Da Nang (Zenith Press 2004)

-- fast-paced, funny, and life-affirming, this dynamic memoir has been called "The Wonder Years Goes To War" because it chronicles the impressions and adventures of a small town boy from Ohio who faces the Vietcong and NVA regulars as an Air Force Forward Air Controller in Southeast Asia from 1971 to 1972. The Military Book Club called Naked In Da Nang "terrific" and added that authors Mike Jackson and Tara Dixon-Engel write "with pride and a spicy dash of irreverence...the stories in this book are lively, compelling, offbeat and frequently laugh-out-loud funny." The book inspired the national Operation Welcome Home celebrations for America's Vietnam veterans. -- Autographed by both authors.
